Thrift Tip Thursday: Out Of Foam Soap? Let’s Make Some!

The kids ran out of foam soap and I decided to whip up some right quick and thought I would share it with you as well. I ran across the idea HERE  some time ago and I’ve actually been making it for a while now and it saves me so much money doing it this way..Let’s get started!!

You will need the following items:

  1. 2 tbs Dish Detergent (Or if you like you can use Baby bath soap, or liquid hand soap which ever you prefer)
  2. An empty foam soap bottle (must be a foam soap bottle or it will not work)
  3. Water
Step 1: add 2 tbs of dish detergent
(You may be able to get away with using 1tbs, but I like to use 2)
Step 2: Fill with water
Step 3: Shake well
Ta Da!!! Foam Soap!! =0)

  1. What an excellent tip! I will use this. Now I just have to buy and keep a foaming soap bottle! This will be much better than the soap I use because my two very young girls are HEAVY on soap. I think I’ll add some sort of natural coloring and scent. What do you think would work?

I’ve been doing this for a while now and LOVE it. We have four kids which means a TON of hand washing, This saves me so much money and the kids love foam soap. This is such a win-win it’s not funny!
